MySpace investigates further Google relationship

October 11, 2006

It’s interesting watching the progress of Rupert Murdoch and MySpace. First, Rupert Murdoch bought MySpace for $580 million in July, 2005. Then, in August, 2006, Google pledged $900 million for advertising on MySpace and other Fox networks. Now Rupert Murdoch and MySpace are investigating ways of expanding their relationship with Google. And this all is revealed just a day after Google bought MyTube for $1.65 billion. Stay tuned as we watch how this game further develops! (It’s always about world domination, but fascinating watching how the game is played.)

Google has had amazing growth, starting in 1998 and in June, 2006, was valued at $6 billion, employing 8,000 people.

Update: Quentin Hardy from Forbes magazine comments that every time we run a Google search we "make its brain a little more powerful… With every ad click comes a little more revenue".
