Apple’s iPod, iTunes ‘big in Japan’

In Japan, iPod has 60% of the digital player market, and iTunes is the top online music service.

Apple to launch video iPod?

Announcements have gone out for an October 12 meeting, with the name “One more thing…”, traditionally the phrase that Steve Jobs uses at the end of a meeting to drop a bombshell launch of a new product. It’s believed to be a 60GB iPod with a nan-sized click-wheel, presumably to allow room for a bigger color screen.

Apple #1 on Wired’s Top 40 Innovators list

Wired have released their Top 40 list of technology and innovation masters, listing Apple #1 for “consistently delivering quality and flair”, citing the sale of 8.2 million iPods in 2004, and iTunes taking 70% of legal music downloads.
