Release of CCLI’s Church Video Licence in Australia

CCLI has released the Church Video Licence in Australia. The licence provides the church the right to play movies (DVDs, videos) for any of the producers on the Producer List. The licence can also be taken out by day schools, boarding schools, camp grounds / conference centers, and day care centers. Six-figure sum paid in copyright case relating to a silent work

Mike Batt has paid a six-figure sum to the estate administrators of John Cage, for plagiarism, for including a silent track on his album, credited to himself and John Cage. John Cage composed a piece called 4’33†in 1952, which was completely silent.

US copyright infringers to be jailed?

The US Attorney General has proposed new legislation for copyright infringers, even for consumers trying to make unauthorized copies, whether they are successful or not.
